Maywood man accused of running dog-fighting ring in basement

MAYWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- A Maywood man has been charged with operating a dog-fighting ring in his basement, officials said.

Paul Wade, 70 was in court Thursday on felony charges. Police raided his Maywood home on Second Avenue this week, removing several dogs.

Investigators said they also uncovered a dog chain inside the garage.
