CHICAGO (WLS) -- A judge is considering unusual restrictions in the trial of a Chicago police commander who is charged with aggravated battery.

Glenn Evans is accused of shoving a gun into a suspect's mouth while threatening to kill him.

News organizations have asked to have TV cameras and still photographers in court, but some undercover police officers could be called to testify.

The judge may tell media they are only allowed to broadcast audio, not video, of the trial.

The trial is tentatively set to begin August 5.
