CHICAGO (WLS) -- Metra Union Pacific North trains are operating with extensive delays after a pedestrian was fatally struck between the Clybourn and Ravenswood stations Friday morning.

Train No. 320 hit the pedestrian near West Belmont and North Ravenswood avenues around 8:15 a.m. Authorities did not release any more information about the victim.

Trains were stopped in both directions for nearly two hours. Trains started moving again around 10:20 a.m. with a 90-minute delay.

The CTA will honor valid Metra tickets at the Damen station on the Brown Line and the Evanston-Davis, Evanston-Central and Linden stations on the Purple Line until UP-North trains are moving again.
