Missing man with Alzheimer's may be driving to Illinois

NEW MADRID, Mo. (WLS) -- The family of Cleveland Treadwell, 71, who has been missing from Missouri since Thursday, said they believe he is driving to Illinois. Treadwell has Alzheimer's disease, dementia and cataracts, and is driving a car.

Joyce Parker, Treadwell's niece, said the family is afraid he is trying to drive to the Maywood Senior Homes, where he used to live, at 401 Green Street. Parker, who lives in Lake in the Hills, says he may also be trying to get to her house.

Treadwell is described as an African-American man, 5 ft. 8 in. tall and 223 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen driving a white 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix with Missouri license CK4A0A.
