Missing Spring Grove man found safe

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Donald Ukleja, 82, who has dementia, diabetes and other medical concerns and had been missing from Spring Grove since July 24, was found safe in Chicago on Saturday night.

Spring Grove Police say Ukleja was located in the area of the Chicago Yacht Club around 9:40 p.m. Police say his car ran out of gas and a Good Samaritan let Ukleja use their cell phone to call family. His family then contacted the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Ukleja was found uninjured but was taken to a hospital for evaluation by his family as a precaution.
