CHICAGO (WLS) -- This weekend is the unofficial start of summer and people in the Chicago area are ready to get outdoors.

But you don't have to go far to enjoy nature.

Cook County is home to the largest forest preserve district in the country - more than 69,000 acres. And there are plans in the works to expand.

And for the first time in decades, visitors can set up a tent and camp at five locations.

Joining us this week to talk about all this and more are John McCabe, director of resource management at the Cook County Forest Preserves and Arnold Randall, general superintendent.
