SHERIDAN, Ill. (WLS) -- The National Transportation Safety Board is working with the Federal Aviation Administration to determine what caused a single-engine plane to crash Friday in rural LaSalle County.

The plane went down in a rural field near Newark, about 60 miles southwest of Chicago.
