Oak Lawn daycare dealing with disease outbreak

OAK LAWN (WLS) -- Penny Lane Daycare in Oak Lawn is dealing with an outbreak of hand, foot and mouth disease.

The daycare confirmed there are currently six cases of the disease at their location.

All of those affected are currently at home.

The daycare center said they are taking precautions by cleaning all classrooms and restricting movement between them.

The Illinois Department of Health said they are only made aware if there are more than 10 cases in one place at the same time.

The daycare is open for business.
