Officials seek help identifying woman killed by train in Villa Park

A woman struck and killed by a Metra train in Villa Park has yet to be identified a day later, officials said.

Police are asking the public for help in identifying the woman, who is described as being between 40 to 50 years old with very short dark hair. She was dressed in a black/sliver top, black leather jacket, black pants, black socks and black shoes.

The woman was hit at about 11:30 a.m. Monday by the train near the Ardmore crossing. She was walking on the track, investigators said.
