MORTON GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police say a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash Monday evening in north suburban Morton Grove.
The victim, an 86-year-old man, was taken to Lutheran General Hospital with serious injuries and later died, officials said. He will not be identified until his family can be notified.
Police are looking for the vehicle involved in the crash. While they believe it sustained front-end damage, police did not provide further description.
The intersection of Shermer Road and Harlem has since been reopened, but investigators remained on the scene Monday night.
