CHICAGO (WLS) -- An Oklahoma artist honored Chicago firefighters with one hot piece of art.

Duron Lewis is a fire painter. He uses flames to create his unique works.

He created an image of Chicago's first fire marshal as a thanks to firefighters who saved his father's life following a heart attack in 1973.

Lewis also said then-mayor Richard J. Daley paid for his father's medical expenses.
