Police investigate bomb threat against Long Grove schools

LONG GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police were dispatched to Country Meadows Elementary School and Woodlawn Middle School in Long Grove, Ill. after a caller made a bomb threat on Saturday.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office received the threat at about 2:19 a.m. Saturday after a caller said stated that he wanted to blow up the schools, police said.

The caller also said he wanted to blow up police departments within a 50 mile radius, the Lake County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff's deputies and a bomb-sniffing dog searched the schools did not find anything suspicious.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating and said that it believes there is no danger to the schools.
