Police investigating Irving Park death as homicide

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have opened a homicide investigation into the death of a man found in the basement of an Irving Park home Monday morning. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 51-year-old Lloyd White.

Police say White was found unresponsive in the 3900-block of North Spaulding Avenue around 11 a.m. He was pronounced at the scene and had blunt force trauma to the head, officials say.
