CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man is due in bond court Saturday morning after allegedly threatening to shoot Chicago police officers.

Police say Alvin Bowles was spotted on the roof of a business near Harrison and Lockwood in the city's Austin neighborhood around 4:05 a.m. Friday. When officers confronted him, they say he allegedly threatened to shoot them.

He was eventually taken into custody.

Police say they found no gun on Bowles, but did find burglary tools and allegedly stolen items from the business. No injuries were reported.
