CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police said Thursday night that a report of a woman being kidnapped near a CTA station is not bona fide.

Because of the kidnapping claim, the Guardian Angels were out patrolling the CTA Pink Line Pulaski station and bus stop earlier Thursday.

The woman claimed she was hit on the head, dragged into an abandoned building and held for three days.

Police have not yet said how they determined the story was false.

There's no word if she'll face any charges.
