Police: Robbers targeting delivery drivers in Morgan Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say delivery drivers in Morgan Park are being targeted by robbers armed with two-by-fours and firearms.

Offenders targeted drivers in late September by ordering food to be delivered to the 10700-block of South Loomis and then robbing them with 2x4 pieces of wood. On Nov. 22 and Dec. 1, offenders with firearms robbed delivery drivers in the 1300-block of West 107th Street and 1200-block of West 109th Street of food and money, officials say.

Police say delivery drivers should notify officers if they receive an order to an address in any of the above locations. They are asking drivers to be vigilant and report any suspicious people or further incidents.
