Police search for suspect in Fox Lake bank robbery

FOX LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in suburban Fox Lake hope surveillance photos will help lead them to an alleged bank robber.

Police say a suspect robbed a PNC Bank in the 60-block of Grand Avenue around 1:47 p.m. Tuesday, allegedly implying that he had a weapon but did not show one.

Witnesses say after the suspect left the bank, he ran to a red van which was parked at a nearby business and drove away.

Police say the suspect is between 30-40 years old and was wearing a blue hoodie and a surgical mask during the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Fox Lake police.
