CHICAGO (WLS) -- A building in the Washington Park neighborhood was evacuated Thursday afternoon after a suspected explosive device was found, police said.
Police said they came to the home on the 5700 South Michigan to serve a warrant and found dynamite inside. Officials said they were working to secure the building.
Police said no injuries were reported.
The school on the same block was on lockdown.
Police said the bomb squad secured the dynamite and it will be removed from the home.
Police said they did not know why it was in the home.
