Police: Woman attacked on North Shore Bike Path near Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in Lake County are searching for the person who tried to attack a woman on a forest preserve bike path.

Police say a woman was attacked Sunday near the Des Plaines River Trail and the Route 176 underpass near Libertyville. The alleged victim was on the North Shore Bike Path.

Ranger police with the Lake County Forest Preserve are asking witnesses to come forward with any information on the suspect.
