Power outage on Near North Side after electrical vault fire

CHICAGO (WLS) -- There are some ComEd customers without power Thursday evening on the Near North Side following an electrical vault fire.

ComEd says the fire took place at Larabee and Oak streets, and they have crews on site working on the situation. They say 1,138 customers without power and crews are working to restore it.

Chicago police say two officers sustained minor injuries from an explosion at Larabee and Oak connected to the fire. They were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released.
