CHICAGO (WLS) -- Protesters briefly shut down traffic on Michigan Avenue in front of the Art Institute of Chicago Monday evening.

The protesters were calling on Art Institute trustee Ken Griffin to support free college education.

Chicago police said eight protesters were arrested. No charges have yet been filed. Michigan Avenue reopened to traffic as of 5:05 p.m.
