CHICAGO (WLS) -- The lights are back on in parts of Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood after hundreds of ComEd customers lost power.
A rat got into a transformer in the 500-block of West Cornelia and blew out several lines Monday night, a ComEd spokesman said.
About 1,000 ComEd customers were affected. Crews worked through the night to restore electricity.
Power went out for most of the affected customers for only about an hour, while about 150 remained without power until about 3 a.m., the spokesman said.
