CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Second City Theater says it will need more time to recover from a fire that destroyed part of its office building.

The theater is now canceling or moving all performances through Sept. 20. Customers with tickets will be contacted about refunds or re-booking.

Second City classes will be held at Tribeca Flashpoint College, Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago and Columbia College until further notice, officials said.

A fire tore through the theater's Piper's Alley complex Aug. 26; although most of its theater stages are intact and not severely damaged, Second City's offices were destroyed.
