CHICAGO (WLS) -- A gunshot was fired during a robbery at a store in the Lincoln Park neighborhood Sunday night.

The robbery took place at a food mart in the 2400-block of North Lincoln Avenue at about 11:15 p.m., police said.

Surveillance video exclusively obtained by ABC 7 shows two suspected burglars entering the convenience store.

After entering, they opened fire. The bullet missed a clerk who was working inside.

"Two people come in with a mask, come inside. He said, 'Give me all the money,'" clerk Emtiyaz Wahra said. "He said, 'this is real, he shoot me.'"

The bullet missed Wahra's legs and went into the wall behind him.

"After I'm scared. I give them all the money. The other guy picked up all the money and after he go out," Wahra said.

Surveillance video shows the two offenders leaving the store and jumping into a waiting getaway car. They got away with an unspecified amount of cash, police said.

Detectives told the clerk they believe the robbers may be the same ones who hit a 7-Eleven on the 3800-block of North Western Avenue earlier Sunday evening. Those who work along this stretch of Lincoln Avenue said the area has become a bit desolate as of late.

"Some of the businesses have closed up because of construction," Julie Halperin said. "It's not as active as it usually is."

No one was injured. Police are investigating and no one is in custody.
