CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating after shots were fired at a railroad law enforcement officer's vehicle in the Englewood neighborhood.

Officials said the Norfolk Southern Railroad police officer was driving near 64th and Stewart when two people opened fire around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The officer's work vehicle was damaged, but no one was hurt.

"I heard a couple gunshots but I didn't think nothing of it. It's usually been quiet lately, so, I didn't think nothing of it," said Bonnie Watson, a neighborhood resident.

Police took one suspect into custody. Police are continuing to search for the second suspect.
