WASHINGTON (WLS) -- Millions of Americans who rely on Social Security will see an increase in their monthly payments in 2015.

This marks the third year in a row the increase will be less than two percent.

The government announced the increase Wednesday when it released the latest measure of consumer prices.

By law the increase is based on inflation, which is well below historical averages so far this year.
