Southwest airliner bumps parked JetBlue plane in Boston, wingtip damaged

BOSTON (WLS) -- A Southwest Airlines aircraft struck an empty, parked JetBlue plane as it pushed back from the gate at Boston Logan International Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the wingtip of Southwest 4552, a Boeing 737, struck the horizontal stabilizer of the JetBlue Airbus A320 around 7 a.m. Monday. The JetBlue aircraft was parked at another gate.

There were no injuries reported to the FAA. The incident is under investigation.
