CHICAGO (WLS) -- Fifteen Chicago area school athletes were surprised with free laptops on Sunday.

The Dell laptops were given to students who have given back to their communities during an event at Illinois Tech in Chicago.

Nearly 30 girls who play soccer from Crete-Monee and Romeoville also received up to $1,000 for their teams.

The event was made possible by the "Making a Difference on and off the Field" campaign, which was created by Buddy's Helpers and Pepsico.
