CHICAGO (WLS) -- A teen accused of mugging and robbing Mayor Rahm Emanuel's son pleaded guilty on Monday.

A judge sentenced the now 18-year-old suspect to three years probation and 50 hours of community service in Cook County Juvenile court.

The mayor's son, Zack, was robbed of his cell phone and attacked near his home late last year. Security cameras did not catch the attack. Prosecutors said the suspect has a previous record of criminal behavior.

The judge asked the suspect if he wanted to say anything in court. He turned to the mayor's wife, Amy Rule, and apologized.
