Toddler safe after riding in stolen vehicle chase

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 2-year-old boy is safe after someone stole a vehicle the child was in and led Chicago police on a pursuit Sunday night.

The pursuit began around 8:50 p.m. on the 3900-block of West Cermak and ended about a half hour later near Logan and California on the Northwest Side.

Emergency crews took the child to the hospital as a precaution.
