A quilting company out of Indiana says their entire business was stolen overnight in Houston. It happened overnight at the Extended Stay Hotel in Greenway Plaza.

Man loses a year's worth of quilt work

Jamie Wallen of Quilters Apothecary is in Houston for the International Quilt Festival when his trailer full of $125,000 worth of quilts and supplies were stolen from the hotel where he was staying.

Wallen says they have spent countless hours on the quilts and have lost everything. The stolen property consisted of a year's worth of work.

Wallen was set to teach classes at the convention to hundreds of people, but the thieves also got away with all of his teaching supplies. He told abc13 he still plans to teach.

Wallen was planning on setting up his booth on Tuesday, in advance of the the convention starting on Wednesday.

The International Quilt Festival is the largest convention in Houston, with 55,000 people from 35 countries attending over four days.

The trailer is described as a white trailer by the company Universal Trailer. It has an Indiana license plate number of: TR388APP
