'Uptown Beach Bandit' suspected in 3 bank robberies captured

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman suspected of robbing three banks on Chicago's North Side has been captured.

The so-called "Uptown Beach Bandit" has hit three TCF Banks in three weeks.

In each of the robberies, she was wearing sunglasses and a large hat.

Authorities have not said how much money she got away with.

No one was hurt in any of the robberies.
