Driver in viral road rage video shares story
Eyewitness News spoke with the driver of the white car, who has since filed a police report.

HOUSTON -- We have new exclusive new details on a road rage incident that is going viral. Eyewitness News was the first to show you the video Saturday.

When David Dao started recording cell phone video, an argument was already underway at the intersection of FM 1960 and 290 Saturday around 11:30am. And, in less than three minutes, things quickly escalated.

On the video, you can see the truck's driver try to calm down the woman, who is his passenger. Then as the white car pulls up, the truck drives up suddenly:

The woman approaches the white car again and the passenger throws a drink at her. The truck's driver then kicks the car's grille, which sparks an all-out brawl in the middle of the roadway.

We spoke to the driver of the white car the phone. He did not want to go on camera.

The man driving the car claims the blue truck was speeding and nearly hit his car. The drivers exchanged words. Then the man driving the car claims the truck driver cursed at him, and it grew more heated from there.

The car driver admits he did follow the pickup truck after the truck smashed into them. The man filed a police report Saturday around 8:30pm, about 9 hours after this incident.

We have not been able to get in touch with the truck's driver or the woman seen in the video. The Harris County Sheriff's Office says it's too early to say what kind of charges could be filed.
