GAUTIER, Miss. (WLS) -- Students, staff, faculty and members of the community held a candlelight vigil on the Delta State campus for Ethan Schmidt, the professor killed at Delta State University on Monday.

Investigators say the history professor was shot and killed by Shannon Lamb, who was an instructor at the college.

He's also suspected of killing the woman he lived with.

Lamb took his own life last night as police closed in on him.
