Waukegan shooting sends stray bullets into beauty shop, hospitalizes 1

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are investigating a shooting in suburban Waukegan that sent stray bullets into a nearby beauty shop, police said.

A masked offender allegedly shot a man multiple times during a possible attempted robbery in a parking lot in the 2200-block of Grand around noon Monday, police said. No one in the beauty shop was injured.

The alleged offender was last seen running eastbound wearing a white face mask, police said.

The man was hospitalized and is expected to recover. Police are continuing to investigate.
