Waukegan teacher charged with sexually assaulting student

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- A middle school teacher in Waukegan is accused of having a sexual relationship with a middle school student - and police say there may be at least one other victim.

Police were investigating teacher Briana Travis, 33, for allegedly sending inappropriate texts to a child. Police said that during questioning, Travis revealed she was having an inappropriate relationship with a different student at Webster Middle School.

Travis is being held on $1 million bond.
