Widow of Fox Lake police wants bank accounts unfrozen after indictment

FOX LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- The widow of disgraced Fox Lake Police Lt. Joe Gliniewicz, who staged his own suicide, is trying to get her bank accounts unfrozen.

Melodie Gliniewicz was indicted on four counts of disbursing charitable funds without authority and for personal benefit and two counts of money laundering.

Her bank accounts were frozen during the investigation.

Now, her attorneys say she can't pay her bills. They're expected to ask a judge to remove the freeze on Tuesday.
