Woman, 23, fatally struck by vehicle in Waukegan hit-and-run

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in Waukegan are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a 23-year-old woman was killed Friday morning, police said.

Waukegan police received a report about a person lying in the roadway near Dugdale Road and 10th Street at 6 a.m. Officers located the woman lying in the street and she was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The woman has been identified as Reven Stevens, 23, of Waukegan. Investigators believe that Stevens was walking northbound on Dugdale Road just south of 10th Street and was struck be a vehicle between 5:45 and 6 a.m.

Police do not have information on the suspect's vehicle and investigators are canvassing the area for video footage.
