Woman, 53, injured in Englewood shooting Friday night

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 53-year-old woman is recovering Saturday morning after being shot and injured in Englewood Friday night.

Police say the woman was standing outside in the 5700-block of South Morgan around 8:40 p.m. Friday when someone in a gray car pulled up and the person inside began shooting. The woman was hit in the back and the arm and was taken to Stroger Hospital where her condition remains stable.

Police are investigating but have not yet made any arrests. They say they believe the shooting was gang-related.
