Woman, 58, fatally struck by car on Northwest Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed in the 3600-block of West Addison Street near the CTA Blue Line station.

Police said the 58-year-old woman was crossing the street around 6:25 a.m. Friday when she was hit. The victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she later died.

Authorities said the car stopped after the accident. No charges had been filed as of 9 a.m. Friday.
