Woman rescued from Aurora house fire

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- Aurora firefighters rescued a woman in her early 60s from a house fire early Wednesday morning.

The Aurora Fire Department says the woman was rescued from a house in the 400-block of Central Avenue around 6:15 a.m. She was taken to Presence Mercy Center in unknown condition.

Six fire companies fought the fire and it was struck around 6:45 a.m. There were no reported injuries to any firefighters. The Aurora Fire Department Arson Team is investigating.
