Woman shot in leg in Roseland near 108th, Wentworth

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are investigating after a woman was shot in the leg in the Roseland neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Police said the 18-year-old victim was involved in a physical altercation just before the shooting. A vehicle pulled up in the 200-block of West 108th Street around 4 p.m. and a passenger fired shots before fleeing, police said.

The woman was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center where her condition has been stabilized.

Area South detectives are investigating. No one is in custody.
