SKOKIE, Ill. (WLS) -- Niles North, Niles West and Niles Central high schools were alerted that a suspicious person was observed taking photos and trying to enter Niles North High School on October 3, 2015.

He was not able to get in because the door was locked. When approached by security, he said, "I already talked to one of your guards."

That same man was also seen taking photos at Iran Hebrew Congregation, 3820 Main Street, about two hours earlier. In that incident, he also left after being approached by security.

Niles Township High Schools District 219 released a statement that said, in part, "All three schools are taking appropriate precautions, working in close cooperation with the Skokie Police Department, to keep our schools safe."

The man was driving a 2015 white Chevrolet Malibu with license plate #ILE906649. Anyone with information should call the Skokie Police Department.
