CHICAGO (WLS) -- Blackhawks star Patrick Kane spoke Friday for the first time after learning he will not be charged after a rape investigation in New York.
"You go through something like this you realize who your close friends are, who your supporters are. Obviously the Blackhawks have been great, too. So appreciate all that support. It's meant a lot, too, throughout this whole thing. The fans as well," Kane said.
When asked if he feels vindicated, Kane said he feels more relieved for his family and friends.
A 21-year-old woman said Kane raped her this summer at his New York home, but the prosecutor declined to file charges saying there was too much reasonable doubt.
