Peoples Gas: Call 811 before starting landscaping projects

WLS logo
Thursday, August 11, 2016

Peoples Gas is giving people a reminder of what needs to be done if they're planning any landscaping work this summer.

As part of National 811 Day, workers showed how they locate and mark underground utility lines. Every six minutes, an underground line is damaged. Lines must be located no matter how deep someone plans on digging.

Just call 811 at least 48 hours before starting a project. The service is free.
