3 puppies reported stolen in Kendall County found dead, 2 missing

NEWARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Three puppies were found dead after being reported stolen in Newark, Ill. in Kendall County, police said.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said it received a report that six black mouth cur puppies were taken from a barn in the 16000-block of Route 52 in Newark last Thursday.

After following several leads, police found three of the puppies dead and one alive at a location in Warrenville, Ill. The puppy that was found alive was returned to its owner.
