Racial slur on Chicago police radio
This is the second recent incident of a racial slur being used on a Chicago police radio channel.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Another racially offensive remark was broadcast Sunday over Chicago police radio.

The Chicago Police Department tells ABC7 that "the racial comments are abhorrent and absolutely unacceptable."

Officials said they have "confirmed these are coming from external, unauthorized radios accessing emergency frequencies."

Afterward the remark, a male voice asks the dispatcher if she got the radio number on the transmission.

She did not.

Then the male voice states that the transmission was quote "not one of ours."

This is the second incident in a week that racial slurs have been heard on Chicago police radios.
