HARVEY, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in south suburban Harvey shot a man who allegedly raised a gun at them outside a nightclub early Friday.
Officers responded to a call around 4 a.m. Friday of a man with a gun outside the club near the intersection of 159th Street and Page Avenue in Harvey.
Officers arrived and approached the man, who pointed a gun at them. They then shot and wounded the man out of fear for their own safety, officials said.
The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with non-life-threatening injuries.
Charges are pending.
