CHICAGO (WLS) -- A tax on amusements such as cable TV, bowling and golf were part of the plan when Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle unveiled her budget.

It was one way of helping close a nearly $200 million budget gap. But that particular tax plan didn't sit well with many people. Ahead of a vote planned for later this month, Preckwinkle is replacing that with a hotel tax.

And she's proposing a tax on ammunition sold in Cook County, saying the revenue will be used to improve public safety.

Preckwinkle joins us this week on Newsviews to talk about all that and more.
