Catholics celebrate upcoming US visit from Pope Francis

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Catholics in the northwest suburbs celebrated Pope Francis' upcoming visit to the United States Saturday.

The ceremony, which took place at the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines, was described as a world meeting of families for prayer and learning.

The keynote speakers offered sermons in English, Spanish and Polish.
